There is an exception to this, which is Dominion. With Dominion I've gotten 3 expansions and I can see myself getting more. If someone gives an expansion to me for a gift great, but I've stopped with Cursed! and Great Dames for Small World, Inns & Cathedrals and Traders & Builders for Carcassonne, Europe and England & Wales for Railroad Tycoon (Okay, I have Western but that was a gift).

It's tough though. Real tough. I'm looking at you Railways Through Time.ooogenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10698896955763131564noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3352286642447203915.post-79070693089862969182012-03-07T10:19:57.229-06:002012-03-07T10:19:57.229-06:00Dominion is a tough choice. However, I don't need them all! :-) Which one(s) to get? I've heard Intrigue and Seaside are nice to pair up and stop with it...if one must stop, that is...ha.Jasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11401460607083226726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3352286642447203915.post-50800637624374832382012-03-07T08:47:50.444-06:002012-03-07T08:47:50.444-06:00I LOVE your introduction. I had never thought of Pharaohs or popes being "expansions." :-)

As for the expansion craze, it can be a little ridiculous...although each time a new Dominion expansion comes out, it takes every rational impulse in me to say, "Wait and see." Two of my top three games (Acquire and El Grande) are nigh perfect without expansions. Dominion, the third, is great merely BECAUSE of expansions (just like CCGs).FarmerLennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00809519427712934619noreply@blogger.com
